In 2007, the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska consists of more than 2,600 enrolled members. Tribal enrollment is important for health services, education benefits, Tribal election information, our mailing database, tribal census statistics, and membership records.
In 1965, U.S. Census counted 442 enrolled tribal members. The enrolled membership grows by approximately 140 members annually.
MEMBER DEMOGRAPHICS
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska does not have a reservation; instead we have 15 service counties located in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. We currently have 1,090 members living in the service areas. The rest of our members are located throughout the United States and Canada.
