The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska has more than 72 employees located in five locations--- Niobrara, Norfolk, Lincoln, and Omaha in Nebraska, and Sioux City in Iowa.
The Human Resource Management Department facilitates personnel-related operations. Staff positions are in the areas of accounting, administration, culture, education, environment, health, social services, and wildlife management.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Human Resource Management Department is to be a strategic partner in supporting the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska mission by formulating and providing oversight of human resource policies and programs that create a work environment which fosters individual achievement, teamwork, integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

Application Requirements
To be considered for employment, the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska requires that you submit an Employment Application that is fully completed, including signatures to be considered for employment. Applications are kept on file for three months. Letters of interest and resumes are strongly suggested.
Indian Preference
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska exercises Indian Preference (preference given to qualified Ponca members and other members of federally recognized Tribes).
Employment Requirements
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska requires that employees successfully pass drug and alcohol testing, motor vehicle, education, employment, character, and criminal background checks.
At-Will Employment
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska is an at-will employer in which there is not a contract with the employee, and that either party can end employment at any time.
