TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOB INTERVIEW

  • Before the interview:
    • Research company/industry.
    • Investigate/Identify skills the company is looking for.
    • Practice your interview/Rehearse sample interview questions.

  • Look the part.  Dress appropriately. Your appearance will create a first impression.

  • During the interview:
    • Arrive early.
    • Greet interviewer with an enthusiastic handshake and smile.
    • Listen closely to questions.  Ask for clarification if question unclear.
    • Keep answers concise and to the point.
    • Sell your product—YOU!
    • Be prepared to ask uestions of the interviewer.
    • Follow up with a written thank you to the interviewer.
