SALARY GRADE:   H8 ($16.68-$20.85)                     REPORTS TO: Cage Manager

LOCATION: Carter Lake, IA



Under the direction of the Cage Manager, is responsible for the direct operation of the gaming cage and vault. The individual will be accountable for funds, balancing Cage Cashiers, verification of wins, handling customer disputes, enforcing department policies and procedures, and other duties as assigned. The individual will have strong knowledge of Title 31 and tax requirements as pertains to the gaming operation. The individual will have a strong working knowledge of all areas of Cash Operations.



  • Assists Guest Service Cage Manager with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, which enable the Guest Service Guest Service Cage to function more effectively.
  • Maintain active presence in the cage
  • Ensures adequate inventories of all operational supplies.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels in the Guest Service Guest Service Cage, by assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining and terminating Employees, as needed.
  • Supervises the issuance of all Player Club cards.
  • Resolves customer disputes regarding player club promotions and events as it relates to their card.
  • Ensures that cage, main bank, vault and kiosks are operated in accordance with company



  • Monitors the performance of Cage employees: Cage Cashiers and Main
  • Bankers.
  • Ensures a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction, with respect to the Guest Service Guest Service Cage, is achieved and maintained.
  • Held accountable, to a moderate degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Outstanding example of and a credit to Prairie Flower Casino.

resolving problems

          EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED (2 years of college preferred), and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, one of which must be banking or Casino Cash Operations experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.


Must be computer literate which includes operation of a windows computer, excel, word, and custom in house programs.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.


Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as   probability and statistical inference.


Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
