Circle of Health Learning Series: Suicide Prevention in American Indian Youth

Monday, February 26 | 5:30-7:30 pm
Lincoln Indian Center | 1100 Military Rd | Lincoln, NE
Please join us for a community discussion about suicide prevention in our American Indian youth.
Suicide rates for American Indian youth are four times higher than any other ethnic group. The national rates of suicide in American Indian communities increased by nearly 20% between 2015 and 2020.
Angel Geller, with Santee Sioux Nation’s Society of Care, a statewide organization working to provide trauma-trained, culturally aware care for young relatives and their families, will be presenting what we can do to prevent suicide and promote healthy coping in our families and our larger community.
A meal and childcare will be provided. Please use the QR code to register for a t-shirt designed by Joe Bad Moccasin and to provide us with a count for meal preparation and childcare staff.
